Vidatum was delighted to attend the 2025 congress of the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS), one of the most significant international gatherings for research management professionals.
INORMS 2025 brought together representatives from universities, research institutions and research management societies across the world. The congress provided a unique platform for sharing perspectives on the challenges and opportunities shaping research support globally — from governance and compliance to digital transformation and system interoperability.
Throughout the programme, discussions reflected the increasing complexity of research environments and the growing need for integrated, transparent and future-ready research management systems. Sessions explored themes such as data-driven decision-making, cross-border collaboration, responsible research practices and the role of emerging technologies — including AI — in strengthening institutional capability.
For Vidatum, attending INORMS 2025 was an important opportunity to engage with the international research management community, exchange insights, and better understand regional priorities across different research ecosystems. The conversations reinforced the value of flexible platforms that can adapt to diverse regulatory frameworks while supporting consistency, efficiency and clarity across the research lifecycle.
We were particularly encouraged by the shared commitment to improving researcher experience, reducing administrative burden and enabling institutions to respond confidently to evolving funding and compliance requirements.
Events such as INORMS play a vital role in connecting the global research management community. We are grateful to have been part of the 2025 congress and look forward to continuing these conversations as we support institutions worldwide in advancing research management practice.
